Competition Regulation

1. All active participants of "Nikšic Guitar Festival 2008" can take part in the competition.
2. Candidates have the opportunity to compete in three age categories:
        I category - candidates born after 1st . January 1994.
        II category - candidates born after 1st . January 1990.
        III category - without age limits
3. First stage for I and II category will be held on 20th of July
   Finale stage  II category will be held on 21st of July
   First stage for III category will be held on 20th of July
   Second stage for III category will be held on 21st of July
   Finale stage for III category will be held on 23rd of July
4. The order of candidates of the competition will be determined by means of public draw, on 19th of July, immediately after the opening ceremony and the concert in the festive hall of the hotel "Onogost". Participants of drawing must show some valid document to confirm their identity.
5. Program:
        I category
        Free program in duration up to 10 minutes.
   
        II category
        I stage - free program in duration up to 10 minutes.
        Finale - free program in duration up to 15 minutes.
   
        III category
        I stage - free program in duration up to 10 minutes.
        II stage - free program in duration up to 15 minutes.
        Finale - program consisted of at least two compositions different in style and character, in duration up to 25 minutes.
6. Program played in the first stage can't be repeated in the second stage and the finale stage.
7. Candidates are obliged to perform their program by heart.
8. The competition is open for public and organizers keep all rights of recording and public broadcast in competitive part of the Festival.
9. Jury will be consisted of prominent domestic and foreign guitar players and pedagogues.
10. Decisions of the jury are irrevocable.
11. Awards:
         I category:
         I award - the guitar "Yamaha", notes, set of strings, free admission at IV international Niksic guitar festival 2009
         II award - metronome, notes, set of strings         
         III award - holder for notes, notes, set of strings
    
         II category:     
         I award – EUR 300.00, free admission at IV international Niksic guitar festival 2009
         II award – EUR 200.00    
         III award – EUR 100.00
    
         III category:
         I award - hand made guitar by Andreas D. Marvi (valued at EUR 7000.00); Concerts with Montenegrin symphony orchestra in the 2008 / 2009 season organized by music centre of Montenegro, Recital at Forum Guitarre Vienna 2009 (Austria)
         II award – EUR 1000.00, Free admission at IV international Niksic guitar festival 2009
         III award – EUR 500.00
12. If nobody of the candidates do not satisfy all given conditions the jury keeps the right not to give The First award.
